TraceNet ECM C/CL/CH
Application
The Thermon TraceNet ECM electronic control module range is specifically designed for controlling electric heat trace circuits used in freeze protection and temperature maintenance applications. These highly accurate state of the art controllers have a very wide control range and can be using in hazardous areas. ECM controllers can withstand a wide range of ambient temperatures where heat tracing for freeze protection or temperature maintenance is applied: from the Arctic -74°C to desert 55°C environments.
The ECM modules are housed in a glass reinforced nonmetallic Terminator enclosure with an environmental protection IP66 rating, which is available as a pipe mounted version with an expeditor or as a wall mounted version with mounting bracket. Depending on options selected, the ECM may be used as a combination temperature control and limiter, a temperature controller with either low or high temperature alarm, or a temperature limiter. Rotary switches are provided for adjusting temperature control and limiter set points.
The standard versions of the ECM controllers can communicate on a RS485 physical network by using a Modbus RTU communication protocol. This also allows the controllers to be monitored via a PC using the free to use Thermon TraceView Network Explorer software or to integrate the controllers in a BMS or customized monitoring system.
The ECM electronic control modules are approved for use in both ordinary (nonclassified) and hazardous (classified) areas.
