Application

Thermon VSX-HT self-regulating heat tracing cables are designed specifically for process temperature maintenance or freeze protection applications where high maintain temperatures or high temperature exposures are required.

The heat output of the VSX-HT cables varies in response to the surrounding conditions along the entire length of a circuit. Whenever the heat loss of the insulated pipe, tank or equipment increases (as ambient temperature drops), the heat output of the cable increases. Conversely, when the heat loss decreases (as the ambient temperature rises or product flows), the cable reacts by reducing its heat output. VSX-HT heat tracing cables are available with a fluoropolymer (FOJ) overjacket for higher chemical resistance against aggressive organics and corrosives.

The VSX-HT heat trace cables are approved for use in ordinary (nonclassified) areas, hazardous (classified) areas, and Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22 areas.
