Application
Thermon DLX self-regulating trace heating cables are designed to provide freeze protection and process temperature maintenance for temperatures up to 65°C. These heating cables can be installed on small and medium diameter metallic and non-metallic piping and equipment in light industrial and commercial applications. DLX heating cables can only be used in applications without steam cleaning requirements. When powered off, these cables can withstand continuous exposure temperatures of up to 85°C.
The heat output of the DLX cables varies in response to the surrounding conditions along the entire length of a circuit. Whenever the heat loss of the insulated pipe, tank or equipment increases (as ambient temperature drops), the heat output of the cable increases. Conversely, when the heat loss decreases (as the ambient temperature rises or product flows), the cable reacts by reducing its heat output. DLX heat tracing cables are available with polyolefin (OJ) overjacket suitable for mild inorganic solutions.
The DLX heat trace cables are approved for use in ordinary (nonclassified) areas and are CE marked.
